We Will Get Things Wrong. Here Is What We Do About It

Last updated August 2026 · goldenhealthscience.com

In one line

We expect to be wrong sometimes. Tell us and we will look at it, whether or not you are a health professional. Important corrections are dated, described, and left on the record.

Any site publishing health science will make mistakes. What separates a trustworthy one is whether it finds them, fixes them, and says so.

01How to Report an Error

Tell us through the contact page. You do not need to be a professional, or bring a source.

If you think something here is wrong, out of date, or missing safety information that matters, tell us through our contact page.

It helps if you can include

  • The page, and the sentence or the section
  • What you think is wrong
  • A source, if you happen to have one

None of that is required. A reader writing “this does not match what my doctor told me” is useful, and we will look into it.

02How Fast We Answer

Five working days to acknowledge, thirty to resolve. Safety comes first, the same day.

We aim to acknowledge a report within five working days, and to resolve it within thirty. Anything that could affect somebody’s safety jumps the queue and is handled straight through.

03The Five Kinds of Change

Urgent safety, factual, clarification, update, and minor. Only the last goes unrecorded.

Urgent safety correctionSame day

Content that could lead somebody to delay care they need, or to do something harmful. We remove or amend it as soon as we confirm the problem, without waiting for the rest of the review. The page then carries a dated note saying what changed.

Factual correctionRecorded

A wrong figure, a misreported study, a source credited to the wrong people, or a claim the evidence does not carry. We fix the text, update the reference where it is needed, and record the change with its date.

ClarificationRecorded

The statement was defensible but unclear, or open to being read as claiming more than we meant. We reword it and note the change.

UpdateDate changed

The content was right when published, and guidance or evidence has since moved. We revise it and change the “last updated” date. Routine updates are not logged one by one.

Minor editNot recorded

Typing errors, broken links, and formatting. Fixed without a note.

04What We Will Not Do

Four things, and quietly deleting an article is the first.

  • Quietly delete an article to make a problem disappear
  • Change something important without recording that we did
  • Leave a known error in place because fixing it is inconvenient
  • Dismiss a reader report because the person is not medically qualified

05How a Correction Appears

As a short dated note on the article, saying what changed and why.

Important corrections appear on the article itself. Every page also carries the dates it was first published, last updated, and last reviewed.

The log below records the important corrections across the whole site.

06The Correction Log

Two entries so far, both from July 2026.

July 2026

Site-wide editorial review

All twelve pillar articles and four blog articles were checked against their sources. Seven changes mattered enough to record.

  • A World Health Organization mortality figure was credited to the wrong source. Fixed
  • Cancer evidence classification was described wrongly. Fixed
  • Animal-study findings had been written as human facts. Restated as animal studies
  • A claim said ordinary meals make blood sugar fall too low in people without diabetes. Removed
  • The description of when deep sleep happens was wrong. Corrected
  • Safety information was missing on exercise, on post-meal walking for people taking glucose-lowering medicines, on sleep apnea, and on when to seek help for tiredness that will not lift. Added
  • Language presented health outcomes as the result of personal choices alone. Replaced

July 2026

Homepage and Start Here

Three changes, all to claims the site was making about itself.

  • Trust claims were rewritten to describe what we actually do. They no longer promise that every claim is correct, or that every clinician would agree
  • Statements about money became a commitment to editorial independence and disclosure, rather than a permanent promise
  • The Start Here topic finder moved from routing by symptom to routing by topic, with safety guidance added above the options

Why this log exists. Think of a workshop with an empty scrap bin. Either nothing has ever been built there, or the mistakes are going somewhere you cannot see. A site that has never corrected anything is the same. We would rather show the record.
